LAST TIME OUT ⚽️
No. rv Delaware had multiple scoring opportunities Saturday evening, but in the end Hofstra came out on top, 2-1, at a rainy Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium. In a dual between the top two teams in the CAA and a rematch of last season's title game, Luke Brown put the first goal on board for the Pride (6-3-1, 4-0-0 CAA) in the 18th minute, becoming the first opponent to score on the Blue Hens in the first half of a game this season. Fede Prieto knotted things up at 1-1 just before halftime. Guillermo Delgado assisted on the play as Prieto put it in from about 10 yards out on the left side in the 34th minute. With tensions running high in the second half, Danny Elliott registered the eventual game-winning goal for Hofstra in the 58th minute. The Blue Hens outshot the Pride in the final 20-plus minutes of the game by a tally of 5-0, including two on goal and three that were just barely outside of the net.
