Delaware?s 4 x 200 Meter Relay Places Fourth to Lead Blue Hens at Armory Track Invitational

NEW YORK -- The University of Delaware's 4 x 200 meter relay team was the top finisher for the Blue Hens - and set a school record in the process - this weekend at the Armory Collegiate Invitational at the New York City Armory.
The foursome of sophomore Tyra Reid, junior Tyler Jackson, sophomore Isis Pinkney, and senior La'Tazah Coleman raced to a time of 1:39.30 on Friday night to lead all Blue Hen finishers during the meet. The time broke the UD mark of 1:39.84 by Cristine Marquez, Kristi Cox, Nijah Dupiche, Vicky Caruso in 2010.
In all, Delaware had 13 student-athletes compete over the two-day event and collected nine top 25 finishes in the meet that attracted some of the top teams on the East Coast.
Reid also had Delaware's second highest finish as she joined junior Carolyn Darr, freshman Carly Pettipaw, and senior Michele Simmons to place 11th overall in the 4 x 400 meter relay with an ECAC qualifying time of 3:50.62 on Saturday.
Also for the Blue Hens, Jackson was 16th in the 200 meters with an ECAC qualifying time of 24.94, senior Amira Idris was 19th in the triple jump (38-2) and 20th in the long jump (18-0.25), freshman Lauren Zodl was 20th in the 5,000 meters (18:02.32), Pinkney was 24th in the 60 meters (7.70), Reid was 24th in the 400 meters (56.28/ECAC qualifier), and Pettipaw was 24th in the 800 meters (2:16.89).
