CAA Tabs Studnicki and LaMachia as Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Sophomore Amanda Studnicki (Normal, Ill./Normal West) and junior Denny LaMachia (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) collected CAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week accolades, as announced by the conference late Tuesday afternoon.
Studnicki and LaMachia were chosen after cruising to a 6-0 victory over Longwood's Fallon Burger and Isis Gill-Reid at No. 1 doubles in Delaware's 7-0 team win over the Lancers. The duo improved to 7-2 in dual matches this season and has won four straight.
Both also won three-set singles matches against Longwood as Studnicki edged Burger, 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 at No. 1 and LaMachia outlasted Anna Pelak, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 2.
College of Charleston junior Mara Argyriou was named the CAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
The Blue Hens (7-2) open league play this Saturday by traveling to Hofstra for a 7 p.m. start time.
