INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Senior jumper Amira Idris (Hylton/Woodbridge, Va.) earned the award for the second straight year. See details above for a more complete biography.
LACROSSE: Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Carpentier (Garden City/Garden City, N.Y.). Her first season in a Blue Hens uniform was quite the successful one for Carpentier, who garnered All-CAA second team accolades. A transfer from George Mason, she was a brick wall in the cage for Delaware as she led the CAA with 6.82 saves per game at a clip of 48.1 percent while finishing third in the conference with 7.33 goals allowed per. A health behavior science major, her goals allowed average ranked 14th nationally and is also good for sixth in the Blue Hens single-season record books
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Sophomore sprinter Tyra Reid (Caesar Rodney/Dover, Del.). Reid proved to be one of the top sprinters in the CAA this spring as she captured the 400 meters title and placed in the top four in two relay events at the conference meet. The criminal justice major was at her best at the CAA meet as she won the 400 meters in a school record time of 53.79 and then teamed to place third in the 400 meter relay and fourth in the 1,600 meter relay. She earned ECAC All-East honors last week thanks to a third place finish in the 400 meters and an eight place showing in the 400 meter relay. Her record time in the 400 meters was also an NCAA Provisional qualifying time.

Just a day earlier, she helped the crew place sixth overall at the Dad Vail Regatta. She also helped lead the Varsity Eights to a third place finish against Temple and Lehigh and a second place finish at the Saint Joseph's meet. An exercise science major, she led the Second Varsity Eights to a third place finish in the third final at the Knecht Cup.
SOCCER: Senior defender Maddy Parker (Methacton/Eagleville, Pa.). Over the last four seasons, Blue Hen goalkeepers could always count on having one of the CAA's top defensive players – and certainly one of the most reliable - keeping trouble away from the nets. Parker was that reliable figure. A health behavior science major, Parker never missed a game during her career, started each of the final 56 contests, and played every minute of every game the last two seasons. A second team All-CAA selection in 2015, she played in 74 career games and anchored a defense that recorded 23 shutouts over that span.
SOFTBALL: Sophomore shortstop Leanna Gearhart (Robbinsville/Robbinsville, N.J.). A second team All-CAA selection, Gearhart started all 51 games at shortstop and served as the Blue Hens' leadoff hitter, ranking 10th in the league with a .343 batting average. An exercise science major, Gearhart led the CAA and set UD single season records with 54 runs scored and 44 stolen bases while also posting a league-best eight triples, one shy of the Division I lead. The owner of six school records, including individual marks in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, she was an NCAA B qualifier in those two events for the third straight year.
TENNIS: Sophomore Amanda Studnicki (Normal West/Norman, Ill.). Studnicki spent the entire season in the top flight of both singles and doubles action. One of the team's SAAC representatives and an exercise science major, she finished the year with 12 singles victories while logging 14 wins in doubles play. A team co-captain, she was named the CAA Singles Player of the Week for Feb. 24 while collecting CAA Doubles Team of the Week accolades on Mar. 15.
VOLLEYBALL: Senior setter and defensive specialist Ariel Shonk (Riverwood International Charter/Atlanta, Ga). A second-time winner of the award, Shonk led the conference and ranked 19th in Division I with 5.23 digs per set this fall. BASEBALL: Junior catcher/infielder Nick Tierno (Eastern/Voorhees, N.J.) won the Pape Lukk MVP Award. A first-year transfer, it didn't take Tierno long to make a valuable impact on the Blue Hen program. An All-American and All-CAA nominee, Tierno has proved to be one of the most versatile players in the CAA, having seen action at catcher, second base, shortstop, third base, and designated hitter this season. Through games of May 17, he was batting .351 with a team-high 51 runs scored and has also added 13 doubles, 33 RBI, and four stolen bases.
