Glover, a first-year performer for UD after transfering from Cumberland County (N.J.) College and sitting out 2015 with an injury, led the Blue Hens in six offensive categories as he batted .361, collected 72 hits, banged out 20 doubles, knocked in 52 runs, collected 111 total bases, and was good on 22 of 25 stolen base attempts. He also scored 49 runs, had a .555 slugging percentage, hit five home runs, and committed just two errors in 112 chances in leftfield (.982).
He currently ranks No. 3 in the CAA in doubles, No. 4 in RBI, No. 4 in stolen bases, No. 6 in hits and total bases, No. 8 in slugging percentage, and No. 10 in runs scored. He also led the team with 23 multiple-hit games (team-best five vs. Stetson) and with 13 multiple-RBI games (four on three occasions).
His 52 RBI is the most by a Delaware player since Jimmy Yezzo had 64 in 2013 and his 22 stolen bases are the most by a Blue Hen since Brandon Menchaca had 28 in 2006. His .366 batting average in league games ranked No. 3 among all CAA players.
Tierno, another first-year performer after transfering from Rowan College at Gloucester County Junior College and from La Salle University, proved to be one of the most versatile players in the league as he saw action at catcher, designated hitter, second base, and shortstop during the season.
One of just two players to appear in all 54 games, he was third on the team with a .340 batting average and also contributed 51 runs, 70 hits, 13 doubles, 35 RBI, a team-high 30 walks, and four stolen bases. Selected as the team's Pape Lukk/UD Alumni Association Most Valuable Player earlier this month, he ranks eighth in the CAA in runs scored and ranked No. 4 among all CAA players with a .364 batting average in league games. His streak of 24 straight games reaching base was the longest for a UD player all season.
Baker, one of the top freshmen in the league and one of the team's fastest players, batted over .400 for much of the season before finishing the year hitting at a .346 clip, good for second on the team, eighth in the CAA, and first among all league rookies.
He contributed 66 hits, 38 runs, 12 doubles, and 13 stolen bases and committed just three errors in 99 chances in the outfield (.970). He also had 20 multiple-hit games, including a season-high four twice, and his batting average was the highest for a UD freshman since D.J. Long hit .350 in 2010.
Nardo, a member of the 2015 CAA All-Rookie Team, missed seven games with an injury early in the season but battled back to become a key member of the Delaware lineup. He played in 47 games and hit .238 while contributing 41 hits, 30 runs, 39 RBI, 10 doubles, six home runs, and five stolen bases. He tied for the team lead with 13 multiple-RBI games, including a season-high five vs. La Salle.
Trimble appeared in 42 games while starting 40 this season, including 31 as the team's designated hitter. He batted .293 on the year, ranking second on the team with 16 doubles while tying for second with five home runs. Trimble also was sixth on the Blue Hens with 26 RBI, to go with 46 hits and 22 runs scored. He posted three three-hit games on the campaign, and belted homers in both ends of the doubleheader against Binghamton.
Walter was the team's No. 2 pitcher throughout the season behind sophomore Ron Marinaccio and showed constant improvement the entire campaign. One of the top rookie hurlers in the CAA, he made 14 starts, posted a record of 7-3, had a 3.63 earned run average, and struck out 85 batters in 89.1 innings of work. He led or tied for the team lead in starts, wins, innings pitched, earned run average, strikeouts, and opponent batting average.
Among CAA pitchers, he ranked No. 1 in starts, No. 3 in wins and innings pitched, No. 4 in strikeouts and opponent batting average (.232), and No. 6 in ERA and led all league rookies in each of those categories. He also pitched seven or more innings in each of his final six starts of the season, winning his final three appearances of the season.
Patten was the team's top slugger throughout the season and ended the year with a team-best 12 home runs and a .565 slugging percentage. He played in 52 games, collected 53 hits, scored 48 runs, stole seven bases, and ranked second on the team with 16 doubles and with 46 RBI. He also was outstanding with the glove at first base as he committed just seven errors in 422 chances (.983).
He ranked No. 3 overall in the CAA with 12 home runs, No. 6 in doubles and RBI, and No. 7 in slugging pct., and led all CAA freshmen in each of those categories. He hit two home runs each vs. La Salle and Towson and collected a season-high vs. Elon. His 12 home runs were the most by a Delaware player since Nick Ferdinand had 15 in 2013 and the most by a UD freshman since Alec Buccholz clouted 18 in 2006.
The speedy Mohollen, who sat out his true freshmen season in 2015 with an injury, proved to be a reliable lead-off hitter and centerfielder throughout the season and was the only player on the team to start all 54 games.
He batted .298 on the year and contributed 65 hits, a team-high 53 runs (No. 5 in CAA), eight doubles, a team and CAA-high seven triples, four home runs, 33 RBI, and ranked No. 2 on the team with 29 walks and 21 stolen bases in 23 attempts (No. 7 in CAA).
Mohollen committed just two errors in 132 chances (.985) while roaming centerfield, had 19 multi-hit games, and had the team's longest hitting streak at 11 games midway through the season. An accounting major, he is a member of the CAA Academic Honor Roll and carries a 3.32 grade point average.
