It was a tale of two halves Saturday evening at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium as Delaware used second half power to cruise to a 4-0 CAA win over Northeastern. Tied 0-0 at halftime with a 6-2 advantage in shots, Delaware shifted the momentum in the second period. The Hens (7-2, 2-0 CAA) tallied 13 shots to just another two for the Huskies (2-6, 1-1 CAA) while picking up four goals and six corner kicks. Ben Sampson registered a career-best two goals, including the game-winner in the 60th minute. Thomas de Villardi tied a career-mark by collecting the assists on both plays. Fede Prieto notched his second goal of the season less than three minutes later while Sampson followed with his third tally of the season in the 69th minute. Guillermo Delgado amassed his 102nd career point with an assist on Prieto's goal. Carlos Perales tacked on the final score of the evening in the 89th minute with an assist from Marco Siverio. Todd Morton picked up two saves for his seventh win of the year. Jonathan Thuresson was credited with the loss despite four saves. NU played the final 12 minutes of the match with 10 men after Chris Scatterday was sent off during the 79th minute following a second yellow card.
· The Blue Hens are receiving votes in the latest NSCAA Division I rankings and are No. 4 in the NSCAA Midwest Regional poll. The next poll will be released on Tuesday, October 4.
· Ben Sampson was named the CAA Player of the Week after registering a career-high two goals, including the game-winner, Saturday evening as the Hens defeated Northeastern, 4-0.
· Guillermo Delgado is the NCAA's active career points (102) and goals (43) leader.
· Delgado's 43 goals is just behind Mike Biggs' career record of 47 goals set from 1968-70.
· With an assist against Northeastern, Delgado moved into a tie for second place in program history with 16 career helpers alongside Roberto Giménez (2011-13), Bob Young (1983-85) and John Petito (1978-82). Mark Haggerty (1983-85) holds the all-time career mark of 18.
· Jaime Martinez is tied for 10th all-time with 12 career assists.
· Delaware has started the year 7-2 for the second time in three seasons.
· The Blue Hens are 2-0 to open CAA play for the first time since 2013.

ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons were held without a goal for a third consecutive game Saturday as Drexel fell at Penn, 5-0. They have also been shutout in 2-0 losses at Northeastern and against Princeton. Drexel's lone win of the season came with a 3-2 overtime decision versus Temple on Sept. 13. Ilai Shvika (2g, 0a) and Colin McGlynn (1g, 2a) lead the Dragons with four points apiece while Eden Ben Homo and Carlos Cuevas have also notched goals on the year. Tyler Afflerbach has appeared between the pipes for all 766:23 minutes for Drexel and has allowed 1.76 goals per game with 27 saves at a clip of .643.
