Freshman Brooke Pilkington Named CAA Singles Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hens freshman Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) garnered CAA Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week accolades, as announced Wednesday by the conference.
Pilkington guided Delaware to team wins over George Mason (7-0) and Navy (5-2) with her play in No. 1 singles.
The rookie cruised past Mason's Sydney Green, 6-0, 6-1, and followed with a hard-fought 6-1, 0-6, 6-1 triumph over Navy's Amanda Keller.
Pilkington has won three straight and currently leads the Hens with 14 singles wins on the year, including a 3-1 mark in top-flight dual match play.
Delaware returns to the courts this Sunday as the Blue Hens host George Washington at 3 p.m. at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
