Delaware Wins Four Events at Ursinus’ Frank Coldren Indoor Track & Field Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- University of Delaware student-athletes collected four first place finishes and had 26 total top 10 performances to highlight the action at the Frank Coldren Invitational held Saturday at Ursinus College.
A total of six different Blue Hens had multiple top 10 finishes led by Olivia Goncerz, who had three top 10 showings, winning the 60 meter hurdles in 9.06, placing fourth in the triple jump (35-6), and fifth in the long jump (16-11.5).
Also for the Blue Hens, Andriene Rose won the 60 meter dash in 7.75 and later placed second in the long jump (17-6); Ashley Bailey captured the top spot in the pole vault (11-11.75) and was also third in the long jump (17-2); Anisa Fortt won the triple jump (37-1.25) and was fourth in the long jump (17-0); Carlyn McGrath was second in both the 60 meter hurdles (9.27) and triple jump (35-7.25); and Nadia Khoury was third in both the 400 meters (59.85) and the high jump (5-3).
Rounding out the top three finishes were the Blue Hens were Irene Cedano placing second in the shot put (39-7.75), Ilana Schnaufer placing second in the mile (5:15.24), Leanza Lopez in the 3,000 meters (10:40.84), Melissa Talley placing third in the 800 meters (2:30.24), and Sofia Janotti placing third in pentathlon (2,716 points).
The Blue Hens will take next week off before returning to action Feb. 19 at the Princeton Invitational.
