Delaware Football Places School Record 35 Players on CAA Academic All-Conference Team

RICHMOND, Va. -- For the third straight year, the University of Delaware football squad has placed a record number of student-athletes on the Colonial Athletic Association Football Academic All-Conference team.
Delaware placed 35 student-athletes on this year's squad, surpassing the record of 30 set in 2015, which had broken the previous mark of 28 in 2014.
The 35 Blue Hens - nearly 40 percent of the team's roster - were among the 388 student-athletes who were honored among the 12 schools. To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
All 12 CAA Football schools had at least 19 players receive Academic All-Conference accolades. There were 24 players who made both the all-conference team and the academic all-conference squad, including Delaware's Troy Reeder.

Delaware will open spring drills on Tuesday, Apr. 4, and will have 14 practice days leading up to the annual Blue-White Spring Game and Fandemonium VIII on Saturday, May 6, beginning at 4 p.m.
