Delaware Women Put Up Four More Top 10 Finishes at Day 2 of Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware women's outdoor track & field team posted four more top 10 finishes Friday during the second day of the Colonial Relays at William & Mary's Zable Stadium.
The second and final day of the three-day event gets under Saturday at 9 a.m.
Senior Leslie Ope had the team's best finish as she placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.79.
Other top 10 finishes for the Blue Hens saw Andriene Rose place sixth in the long jump (16-9.75); Nadia Khoury was sixth in the 400 meters (57.78); Liz McGroarty was sixth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:25.41; and Sofia Janotti was eighth in the long jump (16-8.5).
McGroarty's time was good enough to qualify her for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships in May at Princeton.
The Hens had four other top 20 finishes as Kristina Valko was 11th in the javelin (113-1); London Freeland was 12th in the 400m hurdles (1:04.14); Carly Pettipaw was 15th in the 400m hurdles (1:04.41); and Rose was 17th in the 100 meters (12.58).
