Track & Field Celebrates Senior Day, Host Delaware Invitational

NEWARK, Del - The University of Delaware track & field team celebrated senior day and hosted the Delaware Invitational at Grant Stadium on Friday.
RESULTS
- Lauren Leath was first in the 400 meter hurdles at 1:00.06. The time ranks second all-time in program history.
- Taylor Stone was second in the high jump at 1.70 meters. The jump ranks third all-time in program history. She was also third in the 100 meter hurdles (15.94).
- In her collegiate debut, Nubia Evans-Shields was first in the discus at 48.52 meters. The mark is a new personal best and ranks fourth in program history.
- Madison Gee was first in the triple jump at 11.52 meters. Her mark ranks eighth in program history.
- Morgan Mims was first in the 200 meters at 24.67 seconds. The time ranks 10th all-time in program history.
- Maya Giordano was first in the hammer throw (48.44 meters).
- Rachel Schmitt was first in the javelin throw (42.92 meters)
- Erin McGoey was first in the 3,000 steeplechase (11:18.33).
- Jordan Blanck was first in the 800 meters (2:15.33).
- Nina Sgambelluri was first in the 5,000 meter run (17:45.55).
- Alexis Hardy was second in the 100 meters (12.62).
- The women's 4-by-400 meter relay team of Kadence Dumas, Ella Peterson, Blanck and Lauren Thomas was second (4:00.92).
- Chali Baumann was third in the long jump at 5.41 meters.
UP NEXT
Delaware is set to have a handful of athletes compete in the Bucknell multi's from April 12-13.
