LaMachia and Studnicki Garner CAA Doubles Team of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – Two Blue Hens were honored Wednesday for their outstanding performances as graduate student Denny LaMachia (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) and junior Amanda Studnicki (Normal, Ill./Normal West) were named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week.
The duo pulled out a pair of victories in tiebreakers at the No. 1 doubles position for Delaware. The team's two captains, LaMachia and Sudnicki got past Bucknell's Michele Urbinati and Lauren Fishbein, 7-6 (6), in the 7-0 Hens victory.
They followed with a 7-6 (3) triumph over Lehigh's Christina Auyeung and Jamie Campisi as Delaware took the match, 7-0.
The pair are currently 8-6 on the year while holding a 19-14 career mark.
Delaware returns to the courts Thursday, March 16 as the Hens travel to Temple for a 12:30 p.m. match.
