Shuren and Pilkington Tabbed CAA Women’s Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Two Blue Hens were honored Wednesday for their outstanding performances on the court as junior Arielle Shuren (Montebello, N.Y./Suffern) and freshman Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) collected CAA Doubles Team of the Week accolades.
The pair helped Delaware (11-6, 4-2 CAA) claim critical doubles points in narrow 4-3 conference wins over Towson and Drexel last week.
Competing at the No. 3 spot, Shuren and Pilkington got past Towson, 6-3, to clinch the team point against the Tigers Wednesday. They followed with another 6-3 triumph Sunday over Drexel.
The duo has won three straight and are currently 7-3 on the year.
The Hens return to the courts for their regular season finale on Thursday with a 3 p.m. match at Saint Joseph's.
