Laurenz and Verma Advance to Joe Hunt Invitational Finals Matches

ANNAPOLIS, Md. ? Two Blue Hens will compete in finals matchups Sunday as Delaware wrapped play Saturday at the Navy Joe Hunt Invitational.

In Flight E action, sophomore Curran Verma (Gaithersburg, Md./Laurel Springs) will participate in Sunday's championship game after wins over Mac Rechan (Georgetown) and Cole Tecce (Mary Washington). He will face Georgetown's Will Sharton in Sunday's finals matchup.

Sophomore Laurenz Lankes (Cologne, Germany) also picked up two victories on Saturday by defeating Justin Cerny (Christopher Newport) and Gabriel Pilones (Navy) in three-set matches. Lankes will take on Navy's Greg Durham in the Flight B consolation final Sunday.

Graduate student Dustin Britton (North Plymouth, Minn./Wazyata) went 1-1 on the day and has a shot at third place in Flight D Sunday.
