Sydney Rhodes Earns CAA Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Two shutouts in two games and senior goalie Sydney Rhodes has been earned CAA Field Hockey Player of the Week accolades for the first time in her career.
Rhodes put in back-to-back shutout performances against No. 20 Virginia and Penn at home over the weekend. The Bel Air, Md. native face seven shots in each game and secured three saves versus each opponent.
With her showings, Rhodes lowered her season GAA to 1.77, which currently ranks second among CAA goalkeepers.
Rhodes has three career complete game shutout wins, all of which have come in the last five games.
The Blue Hens continue league action by traveling to Towson (Friday, 2 p.m.) and William & Mary (Sunday, 12 p.m.)
