Blue Hens Return to Top-25 Polls

NEWARK, Del. – Coming off its win over #5 Elon this past weekend, the University of Delaware football team found itself back in the top-25 polls this week.

The Blue Hens were slotted #24 in the STATS FCS poll and #25 in the Coaches Poll.

It's just the second time since 2014 that Delaware finds itself in the Top-25 poll during the regular season. Last year, the Blue Hens climbed to #23 after back-to-back wins over nationally-ranked Stony Brook and Richmond.

This year, Delaware earned a top-15 preseason ranking, but after suffering a season-opening loss to URI, who now sits in the top-25 themselves, the Blue Hens dropped out of the poll, but have since climbed their way back into the rankings.

Delaware is one of a record-tying seven CAA teams in the poll this week.

The Blue Hens travel to Durham, N.H. this weekend to take on the Wildcats of UNH in a critical CAA matchup. Game time on CBSi Digital is set for 3:30 p.m.
