MORGANTOWN, W.V. – The Blue Hens faced tough competition Saturday and battled for three wins at the West Virginia University Martha Thorn Invitational.
In singles play, senior Annie Jaskulski pulled out the 7-6 (5), 6-2 victory over WVU's Kirsten White for her 40th career singles win.
Freshman Caragh Courtney topped WVU's Abigail Rosiello, 6-4, 6-1.
On the doubles side, freshmen Tayo Adetunji and Emily Gotkiewicz paired for the first time and collected the 6-3 win versus Duquesne's Miranda Bishard and Priyanka Mitta.
Tournament action concludes Sunday with two rounds of singles, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Summit Tennis Academy.
