Delaware Baseball Wraps Up Fall World Series

The Blue team won the series, 2-1.
Freshman Kevin Buglio was the offensive MVP of the Fall World Series after a 6-for-11 day. Buglio hit a home run in the first game and also ripped a double. Buglio drove in three runs and scored two.
Freshman Jack Dubecq earned most outstanding pitcher of the Fall World Series after tossing 3.0 IP and not allowing a run in his two outings over the weekend. Dubecq fanned one batter and did not give up a hit while allowing just two runners to reach base.
Buglio was on the Gold team, while Dubecq was on the Blue team.
Also on the blue team was junior Jack Goan, who reached base four times in the first game of the series with three walks and a hit. Goan scored two runs in that game and drove in one RBI. Goan would drive in two more runs after going 2-for-3 in the second game and would end up with four hits.
Freshman Brad Kaden went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs on Friday and would end the Fall World Series with four hits.
On the mound for the Blue team sophomore Joey Haass did not allow an earned run in 2.0 innings and fanned three batters in the first game of the series. Haass pitched in every game of the series, tossing four innings, allowing two earned runs.
Sophomore Ari Silverstein did not allow an earned run in his 3.1 IP over two appearances. He struck out four batters and allowed just two hits.
For the gold team, Justin Byler knocked in two RBIs with a single in the second game of the series. Senior Kevin Mohollen reached base four times during the series and had a double.
Freshman Tyler Juhl scored two runs for the Gold team.
On the mound, freshman Justin Tomovich threw in two games, and had an outing where he went 2.0 IP and did not allow an run to score while fanning two batters. He ended up tossing 3.1 IP and gave up just one earned run.
