Miller Named CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – First collegiate goal is a game-winner on the road in CAA play? Not a bad weekend for University of Delaware freshman Grace Miller.
After Miller's goal helped propel the Blue Hens past the Dukes of JMU this past weekend, her play was recognized by the CAA, who honored Miller as the Rookie of the Week.
It marks the fourth time this year that the Blue Hens have taken home the Rookie of the Week accolade.
Miller deflected a pass from Femke Strien in the final minute of the first half of Delaware's 6-3 win at JMU this past Friday. Her goal sparked a stretch of four Blue Hens goals in the matter of just over 12 minutes of game clock.
The win was Delaware's 20thstraight win over a CAA opponent (regular season and tournament games included).
The Mount Joy, Pa. native has been a crucial part of the Delaware midfield, starting nine of the Blue Hens' 12 games so far this fall.
Delaware is back at home this weekend when they host ACC foe Virginia on Friday night at Rullo Stadium. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
