• Delaware heads to the state of Florida for the first of two consecutive weekends to play five games at the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational.
• The Blue Hens are looking for their first win of the season after falling to Georgia State twice, 13th-ranked Auburn and Maryland last weekend at the Tiger Invitational.
• Anna Steinmetz posted a team-high three hits at the tournament while Mattie Nuccio, Mariah Kondravy, Giovanna Kolofer and Chayanna Gallardo added two apiece.
• Steinmetz and Kondravy each belted a home run. Steinmetz holds the school record with 27 career homers, while Kondravy is second with 26.
• Kondravy moved into third place in UD history with 187 hits, while Leanna Gearhart is tied for 10th with 164.
• Kondravy also hit a double and now has 46 for her career, one shy of the school record of 47 held by Laura Streets from 2001-04.
• Jordan Cargile posted a 2.69 earned run average by allowing five earned runs in 13 innings pitched in the circle.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Kent State defeated the Blue Hens twice at the 2010 Marshall Invitational, 8-5 and 7-5, the only previous meetings between the schools.
• Albany posted a 2-0 win over Delaware at the 2005 Bash at the Beach Tournament and a 6-2 victory at the 2016 UD Invitational.
• The Blue Hens will be facing Nicholls, Arkansas and McNeese for the first time in school history this weekend.
