Graduate student Dustin Britton provided the lone win of the day for the Blue Hens, who fall to 2-2 on the year and 0-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Britton captured the exciting 7-6 (6), 1-6, 11-9 victory over Theophile Lanthiez in No. 5 singles to move to 3-1 in dual match play this season.
POST-MATCH QUOTES
Head Coach Pablo Montana
“Overall, I'm pleased with our performance today. Even though we lost, I saw a lot of positive things. In our doubles, we had match points at No. 1 and we were a couple of points away from winning at No. 3. In singles, we competed really well, but they were definitely the better team today. Congratulations to Dustin for pulling out a nice win at No. 5.”
