• SO WE MEET AGAIN: Delaware and Maryland are meeting for the second time in six days. The Hens defeated the Terps 7-1, Thursday afternoon at Maryland. Senior Diaz Nardo drove in five runs in that game, hitting his second home run of the season and doubling twice. Tomorrow's projected starter Matt Hornich pitched five one-run innings in that contest, earning his first victory of the season.
• THE WEEK THAT WAS: UD went 3-1 last week including the Thursday victory over Maryland. After dropping Friday's series-opener to Monmouth Delaware rebounded Saturday and Sunday, winning a pair of one-run contests. On Saturday, junior Kyle Hinton retired the first 18 Monmouth batters he faced in Delaware's 2-1 victory. Sunday, Delaware defeated MU 7-6. Freshman Chance DiFebbo bunted home a run in the eighth and James Meeker stranded the bases loaded with one out. The back-to-back victories earned the Hens their eighth consecutive home series victory.
• HOME COOKIN': Delaware with the series win, improves to 27-5 (.844) in its last 32 home games. The Hens will play their next five games at home, before embarking on an eight-game road-swing.
