Blue Hens Earn Seventh Straight NFHCA National Academic Team Award

CHANDLER, Ariz. – With five consecutive CAA Championships to its name, success has become synonymous with the University of Delaware field hockey program.
That success has come from hard work and that hard work has not been limited to the turf for the Blue Hens.
On Tuesday, the Blue Hens were honored for the seventh straight season as a ZAG/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award recipient.
The award distinguishes those institutions that have achieved a Team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year. Delaware finished the fall semester with the highest ever semester of 3.48.
A total of 75 NCAA Division I squads earned the National Academic Team Award.
