ON THE LINE: Today's matchup with the Tigers provides the Blue Hens a great opportunity with a Delaware victory clinching a spot in the CAA Tournament, something that hasn't been done by the Blue Hens since 2014.
KITCHEN'S HEATING UP:Reigning CAA Co-Player of the Week Charlie Kitchen has been heating up of late with hat tricks in three of his past four games, including a five-goal, six-point effort in last week's win at Hofstra. The sophomore has now scored in 14 straight games dating back to last season, which is the seventh-longest active streak in the country.
POTENTIAL TO POTENT: All season long, the Blue Hens offense has shown the ability to be a potent unit. Last week, Delaware became just the second team all season to score double-digit goals against Hofstra in the 10-9 win. The Pride currently lead the country in scoring defense, but the Blue Hens were able to break through using four different goal scorers.
THE BIG FELLA: Sophomore Matt DeLuca (no relation to head coach Ben DeLuca) continues to be a stalwart in net for the Blue Hens, registering double-digit saves in eight of Delaware's 11 games this season. He currently ranks 10thin the country and leads the CAA with 11.55 saves per game.
RIVALRY RENEWED: Some could argue that the Towson-Delaware men's lacrosse rivalry is one of the Blue Hens' most intense rivalries in any sport. Separated by just an hour, the two schools have met 58 times since 1961.
