Blue Hens Announce 2018-2019 Dance Team With New Head Coach

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware is proud to announce the 2018-19 Dance Team, which will feature 13 veterans and seven new members.
A new face will be leading the dance team with alum Risa Levine taking over the head coaching duties for the upcoming year.
“We are excited to have Risa step into the Head Coach role for the 2018-2019 season,” Athletics Spirit Coordinator Rob Ellery said. “Her health and fitness background, dynamic dance experience and passion for UD will allow her to lead the dance team to continued success as an integral part of our Spirit Program.”
Levine was a four-year member of the dance team (class of 2008) and spent last season as the assistant coach for the squad. She has been a dance instructor at three private studios and has coached and been a competition judge around the Tri-State area since her graduation.
“It's with great excitement that I take on the duties of head coach of the University of Delaware Dance Team,” Levine said. “Being an assistant last year and a four-year member of the team, I understand the goals and objectives of the team, as well as the high standards for excellence that we will continue to strive towards.”
