4x400 Relay Wins Heat To Highlight Tune Up at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – With the CAA Championships less than two weeks away, the University of Delaware is tuning up the engines one last time.
The tune up this week came at one of the most prestigious meets in the country, the Penn Relays.
Highlighting the trip was the 4x400 meter relay team of Nadia Khoury, Sydni Stovall, Bema Kyeadea-Amponsah and London Freeland, who came away with hardware, winning their heat with a time of 3:52.46.
Junior Ashley Bailey posted a top-five finish in the college pole vault championship, clearing 12' 7 ½”, while Jenny Hineman tuned up with a top-20 showing, clearing 11' 5 ¾”.
In the throws, freshman Myrissa McFolling-Young had a busy day with a top-15 showing in the discus (139' 10”) and a top-25 showing in the shot put (43' 5 ¼”).
The Blue Hens will have one final tune up when they host the Delaware Open on Sunday, April 29th. Action at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium begins at 10:30 a.m.
