Delaware Catcher Anna Steinmetz Selected To All-ECAC Softball Second Team

DANBURY, Conn. – University of Delaware junior catcher Anna Steinmetz was named to the ECAC Division I Softball Second Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Steinmetz (Glen Mills, Pa./West Chester Bayard Rustin) earns her third award of the month after being named first team All-CAA and third team All-Northeast Region earlier in May.
Steinmetz started all 49 games for the Blue Hens this season, including 25 behind the plate. She led Delaware with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 38 RBI while hitting .341 on the year and posted 13 multi-hit games on the season.
Steinmetz paced the Blue Hens with a team-best 11 multi-RBI efforts, and delivered three-hit games against Ohio University and Saint Joseph's. She currently is UD's career leader with 36 career homers, ranks second with 132 RBI, and is eighth with 29 doubles.
