NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware interim head coach Kelly Anderson announced Wednesday the signing of Caragh Courtney to a National Letter of Intent to play women's tennis for the Blue Hens beginning during the 2018-19 academic year.
"Caragh will fit perfectly into our team and athletic department as she is both a terrific tennis player and a class act both on and off the court," stated Anderson. "She brings a humble, thoughtful and ultra-competitive attitude combined with an all-court game and a powerful serve. She is a conscientious student, a natural leader and has played multiple sports including Gaelic football, field hockey and basketball. I have no doubt she will flourish in her years at UD."
Courtney, a native of Dublin, Ireland, is a three-time National Singles Champion while also garnering a National Mixed Doubles title and National Doubles runner-up accolades.
