Blue Hens Duo Sweep CAA Weekly Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Following a 2-0 weekend to start the year, the Blue Hens swept the CAA weekly field hockey honors as senior Greta Nauck was named the league's Player of the Week while Pia Freudenberger earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Nauck finished the weekend with a CAA-leading six points on two goals and two assists. The forward provided two insurance goals in Sunday's 4-1 victory at Miami (Ohio) while assisting on two goals, including the game-winner, in Friday's 3-2 win at No. 24 Ohio State.
Freudenberger made a splash in her debut for the Hens by posting the game-winning goal over the ranked Buckeyes while also recording an assist off a penalty corner earlier in the match.
Delaware returns to Fred P. Rullo Stadium for its home opener Friday against No. 18 Saint Joseph's at 6 p.m. before hosting No. 8 Louisville Monday at 1 p.m.
