GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – So much for nerves in a debut, huh?
Junior Diana Dunn wore the University of Delaware uniform for the first time on Friday and didn't miss a beat as she rolled to the individual title and paced 12 Blue Hens in the top-15 as the Delaware women's cross country team took home the team title at the Adelphi University Panther Invitational.
Dunn's time of 18:31.40 for the five-kilometer course bested the rest of the field by over 19 seconds. Her teammates Susanna Weir and Roxanne Ramirez clocked in at 18:50.90 and 18:56.90, respectively, to help the Blue Hens claim the top-three spots in the race.
Delaware showed big time depth potential with 12 runners finishing within a minute of Dunn's top time.

"This was a great opportunity for us to preview the course that we'll run on at the conference championships later this fall. I was really happy to see how tight our pack was for the first half of the race, and it was great to see Diana get the win in her Delaware debut. She will make a big difference on this team and we feel so fortunate to have her." Head Coach Ryan Waite
"It was great running with the team because we were all motivating each other. When it got tough during the race, I thought of them and that pushed me through it. Having a team like this is the reason I came here. I'm excited to be a Blue Hen and to see what we can accomplish this fall." Junior Dianna Dunn
