Hens Ranked No. 13 in Latest NFHCA Poll

GILBERT, Ariz. – Delaware continues its stay in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll as the Blue Hens are slotted No. 13 in this week's rankings.
UD (3-3) collected 508 total points after splitting weekend play with a tough 5-3 loss at No. 3 Maryland before picking up the 1-0 victory over American.
North Carolina (6-0) took over the top spot with 1105 points and 16 first place votes while Connecticut (6-0) fell to second with 1102 points and 24 first place votes. Maryland (7-0), Duke (4-2) and Princeton (3-2) rounded out the Top 5.
The next Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll will be announced on Tuesday, September 18. The poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2018 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship.
The Blue Hens return to Fred P. Rullo Stadium for a 6 p.m. contest Friday against Richmond before traveling to No. 5 Princeton for a 1 p.m. matchup Sunday.
