Lizzie Gaebel Named CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – After making her collegiate debut this weekend, Delaware goalie Lizzie Gaebel was named Tuesday as the CAA Rookie of the Week.
The freshman registered seven saves in her debut at No. 3 Maryland Saturday and allowed just two goals in 47 minutes against the Terps' high-powered offense.
Gaebel followed with her first career start on Sunday against American and recorded her first career shutout with one save in UD's 1-0 win.
No. 13 Delaware returns to Fred P. Rullo Stadium for a 6 p.m. contest Friday against Richmond before traveling to No. 5 Princeton for a 1 p.m. matchup Sunday.
