Delaware Moves to No. 12 in Latest NFHCA Poll

GILBERT, Ariz. – Following a tough weekend against ranked opponents, the Blue Hens moved to No. 12 in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll.
Delaware received 576 points and dropped three spots after falling to then-No. 18 Saint Joseph's and then-No. 8 Louisville.
Reigning national champion Connecticut (4-0) remained at the top with 1141 points and 28 first place votes while North Carolina (4-0), Maryland (5-0), Duke (3-1) and Penn State (2-0) followed in order.
The next Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches Poll will be announced on Tuesday, September 11. The poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2018 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship.
The Hens hit the road for two games in College Park this weekend as Delaware takes on the No. 3 Terps Saturday at 11 a.m. and American at 3 p.m. Sunday as part of the Terrapin Invitational.
