Mirams, Nieves Tie for Fifth Place at Wildcat Fall Invitational

MALVERN, Pa. – William Mirams and Roberto Nieves each tied for fifth place as the Blue Hens competed in the Wildcat Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
Nieves fired six birdies during a two under par 69 on his final round on the par 71, 6,717-yard White Manor Country Club course, tying for fifth place at the tournament with a two under par 73-69-69-211.
Mirams carded a three over par 74 on Tuesday, as he also tied for fifth place with a two under par 68-69-74-211.
RJ Wren recorded a 10 over par 75-75-73-223 to tie for 27th place at the invitational, while Matt Pulgini tied for 33rd place with a 12 over par 75-78-72-225.
Michal Bargenda finished in 36th place with a 13 over par 77-77-72-226, while Jack Melville fired a 14 over par 78-71-78-227 to tie for 37th place. Hugo Kedzlie, who along with Mirams played as an individual, carded a 17 over par 78-77-75-230 to finish in 40th place.
Christian Cavaliere of Boston College easily captured medalist honors as he fired a 16 under par to post a nine-shot victory.
Delaware posted a 286 team score on Tuesday, finishing in sixth place out of seven squads with an 878 three-round total. Rhode Island captured the team title with an 845 score, followed by Appalachian State at 850.
The Blue Hens return to the course on Oct. 13-14 when they compete in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
