Adewusi Selected by XFL’s Dallas Renegades

DALLAS, Texas – For anyone that knows former Blue Hen Tenny Adewusi, they know that all he wants is an opportunity.
Adewusi, who spent all summer in the New York Giants training camp, received another opportunity this week when he was selected in the XFL's open draft by the Dallas Renegades.
The Avenel, N.J. native is a physical specimen that was critical to Delaware's pass defense in 2018. He started 10 of the Blue Hens' 12 games and tallied a career-high 37 tackles, including one for a loss. He had the second-most pass break-ups on the defense with seven, along with a forced fumble.
In 40 career games, he racked up two INTs and 15 pass breakups for the Blue Hens.
The XFL, which will start play in Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 and will span 10 weeks through April 12. Every regular season game is currently scheduled for national TV either on Fox, ESPN or ABC.
Each team will enter training camp with around 75 players on its roster with opening week roster limits set at 52.
