Blue Hens Continue to Thrive at ITA Atlantic Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Delaware continued its good success Friday on the second day of the ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by the University of Virginia.
The Blue Hens collected three wins with two coming in doubles play.
Sophomore Luis Molina picked up his third straight win by battling 11th-seeded Rayane Stable (VCU) to a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 victory. Molina continues play at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Round of 32 against 17-32 Nicola Vidal (Old Dominion).
In the doubles main draw, sophomore James Wilkinson paired with freshman Liam Hedlund for two victories while advancing to the Round of 16.
The duo opened with an 8-6 win over Duquesne before topping conference foe William & Mary, 8-5. They will face VCU Saturday at 1 p.m. with goals of advancing to the quarterfinals.
