Ashlyn Carr Earns CAA Rookie of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – Ashlyn Carr earned her first-ever Colonial Athletic Association award Tuesday as the Blue Hens midfielder was tabbed the league's Rookie of the Week.
Carr tallied a season-best two goals in Sunday's conference-opening 5-1 victory at No. 25 Northeastern. She also held strong performances against No. 5 Princeton (Oct. 1) and at Richmond (Oct. 4) as No. 11 Delaware moved to 8-2 on the year.
The Delmar, Del. native has started all 10 games this season UD and is currently second for the Hens with 12 points (eighth, CAA) on five goals (eighth, CAA) and two assists.
Carr and the Blue Hens wrap a three-game road stretch Sunday with a noon contest at No. 3 Connecticut.
