No. 12 Delaware Clinches Regular Season Title With 5-1 Victory Over No. 23 Tribe

NEWARK, Del. – No. 12 Delaware jumped out to an early lead and never looked back Friday evening as the Blue Hens topped No. 23 William & Mary, 5-1, to clinch a portion of the CAA Regular Season title.
With the win, UD locks up the No. 1 spot in next weekend's CAA Tournament.
Blue Hens junior tri-captain Lotte de Koning, who returned to play last Sunday after missing 10 games due to injury, looked like her old self as she captured two goals for Delaware.
Classmate Sophie Giezeman also collected two goals whilefellow junior Femke Strien added four points of her own with one goal and two assists.
Redshirt senior Sydney Rhodes collected one save with one goal allowed in 55:04 while sophomore Lizzie Gaebel came in in relief and did not register any statistics.
