Andrew Carr Signs National Letter of Intent with Delaware Men’s Basketball Program

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's basketball head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Wednesday that Andrew Carr has signed a National Letter of Intent with the UD program and will begin competing for the Blue Hens next fall.
Carr, a 6-9 forward from West Chester, Pa., averaged 19 points and eight rebounds per game last year during his junior season. He led West Chester East High School to a 21-7 record, an appearance in the PIAA District I Class 5A title game and the Vikings' first state tournament berth in 17 years.
Carr's father, Phil, and his uncle, Tim, both played for the Blue Hens in the 1980's and each served as team captain during their senior seasons.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Andrew Carr to the Blue Hen basketball family," Ingelsby said. "Andrew is a highly skilled forward with a smooth shooting stroke and a crafty scoring ability around the basket. He fits the bill of versatile forwards we like to have in our program and we couldn't be more excited about him joining us in Newark next year."
