Lotte de Koning Tabbed Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week

GILBERT, Ariz. – Following a career weekend in which she led the University of Delaware to its eighth Colonial Athletic Association title, Lotte de Koning was named the Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week.
In Friday's 5-3 semifinal win over James Madison, De Koning posted a career-best four goals, a mark that set a new Blue Hens record for goals in a CAA Tournament game. In Sunday's championship game, the forward scored the first goal of the game in then-No. 11 Delaware's eventual 2-1 victory.
For her efforts, De Koning was tabbed the CAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Performer.
The No. 10 Hens will make their 10th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament this coming weekend as Delaware takes on No. 3 Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. at noon Friday. With a win, the Blue Hens would face either No. 4 Maryland or No. 12 Saint Joseph's at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
