Delaware Basketball Signs Gianmarco Arletti To National Letter of Intent

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's basketball head coach Martin Ingelsby has announced that Gianmarco Arletti has signed a National Letter of Intent with the UD program and will begin competing for the Blue Hens next fall.
Arletti, a 6-5 guard from Bologna, Italy, is currently in his second year at Holy Cross Prep Academy in Delran, N.J. He averaged 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.1 steals last year as the Lancers finished 17-10 and won a share of the Burlington County League Independent Division title.
Arletti also competed for Italy in the FIBA 3x3 U18 Europe Cup Qualifier this summer on Aug. 3-4.
"We are very excited about the addition of Gianmarco Arletti to our basketball program," Ingelsby said. "Gianmarco is a versatile guard with great size and overall feel for the game. He prides himself on making the right decisions for his team and getting everyone involved while also being able to score the basketball from all three levels. His passing ability really stuck out to me during the recruiting process and I think he is the prototypical guard that will flourish in our system."
