Delaware Tops La Salle, 6-1

NEWARK, Del. – The Blue Hens will depart on their five-match spring break road trip on a winning note as Delaware defeated La Salle, 6-1, Friday afternoon at the Delaware Field House Outdoor Courts.
The Explorers took home the team doubles point, but the Hens responded by sweeping singles play en route to their third straight and 12th overall win of the year.
James Wilkinson and Luis Molina quickly picked up singles wins for UD in the first and second flights, respectively, by each topping their opponents, 6-1, 6-1.
In No. 4 singles, Milo Nagle then notched his ninth consecutive victory of the season with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Tomas Christian.
Laurenz Lankes captured the win for the Blue Hens in No. 6 singles with his fourth straight victory – a 6-4, 6-2 triumph against Colin Lucius.
Nathan Benyowitz and Blaise Casselbury wrapped action with victories in No. 5 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
