Blue Hens Finish in 10th Place at ECU Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team finished in 10th place this week at the ECU Intercollegiate.
The Blue Hens posted team rounds of 307, 310 and 313 during the tournament, placing 10th out of 12 squads with a 930 total. Tournament host East Carolina captured the team title at 880, while Campbell finished two shots back.
Matt Pulgini finished in 33rd place in the individual standings by carding a 13 over par 76-76-77-229 on the par 72, 6,755-yard Brook Valley Country Club course, while Jack Melville shot a 17 over par 78-73-82-233 to finish in 45th place.
Roberto Nieves tied for 46th place with an 18 over par 77-78-79-234, while RJ Wren fired a 24 over par 76-83-81-240 to tie for 62nd place. Nick Vecellio, who fired a 31 over par 83-88-76-247, tied for 67th place at the invitational.
Michael Sakane of Jacksonville was the tournament medalist by finishing at seven under par.
