Blue Hens Enter National Polls For First Time Since 2012

NEWARK, Del. – All spring long, the University of Delaware men's lacrosse team has been accomplishing feats that hadn't been done in many years by the Blue Hens.
Add another one to the list as Delaware earned its first national ranking since 2012 on Monday when the Blue Hens were ranked #20 in two of the three polls.
"This is great for our program and the University. We're extremely grateful to be ambassadors for this tremendous University, but we all know that we have a lot of work left in front of us," head coach Ben Deluca said. "Our focus will always remain at the task at hand and being at our best, representing this University at the highest level every time we step on the field."
The Blue Hens find themselves at 10-2 on the year, marking the program's best start to a season since 1999. With two critical weeks left in CAA conference play, Delaware is all alone atop the standings at 3-0 with games against the two other top teams, Towson (April 20) and UMass (April 27) on the horizon.
Delaware and Towson square off in a match-up of two top-20 ranked teams at Delaware Stadium on Saturday at 12 p.m.
