Blue Hens to Face Penn State in Hoops 4 Disaster Relief Exhibition Game on Oct. 27

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team will face Penn State in a charity exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 12 noon in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Proceeds for the Hoops 4 Disaster Relief exhibition will benefit Louisiana Tech University and Ruston, Louisiana to help offset the extensive damage to the community and campus following an EF3 tornado on Apr. 25, 2019. The funds will be earmarked for assisting Louisiana Tech students, faculty, and staff who have been directly impacted by the tornado, and for rebuilding and repairing damage to campus structures and grounds.
Tickets will be available through the Penn State Athletics Ticket Office and online beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24. General admission tickets for the game will be $10, with student tickets at $5. Parking for the contest will be free.
Louisiana Tech will play LSU in an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 2, with several other institutions participating in the Hoops 4 Disaster Relief series.
The Blue Hens and Nittany Lions have played 10 times in school history, but none since Jan. 14, 1980 when the teams faced off in State College.
