Femke Strien Tabbed CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware junior Femke Strien was named the first Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week this season following her performance this weekend.
Strien helped lead the Blue Hens to a 2-0 start by tying her career-high with two goals against Miami on Monday afternoon. She registered her first career penalty stroke in the 23rd minute and posted the game-winner in the 37th minute.
A two-time CAA Rookie of the Week in 2017, the IJsselstein, The Netherlands native now has three career game-winning goals.
Strien also added a shot in UD's 1-0 win over No. 22 Albany on Friday.
The No. 16 Blue Hens continue their four-game season-opening homestand by hosting American at 6 p.m. this coming Friday before taking on No. 9 Penn State at noon on Sunday.
