Blue Hens Capture First Win of Season by Defeating Bucknell, 4-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Delaware picked up its first win of the season Monday afternoon with its 4-0 victory over Bucknell at the Central PA Tennis Center.
With doubles competition tied at 1-1, the Blue Hens captured the team point in exciting fashion as Nathan Benyowitz and Guilherme Valdoleiros pulled out the 7-6 (5) win against Ryan Jurist and Guillermo Torres in the third flight.
In singles action, Justice Jones quickly gave Delaware the 2-0 advantage with a 6-0, 6-1 victory versus Torres in the fifth spot.
Curran Verma added to the lead by defeating Per Astrom, 6-3, 6-0, in No. 6 singles before Luis Molina clinched the win with his 7-6, 6-0 decision against Cooper Bradshaw in the second flight.

"We bounced back well today, and it started with our doubles play. It came down to the final match to clinch the point and we were able to break the tie with a nice win in the third flight.
