Blue Hens Continue Success on the Board at Navy Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Delaware swimming and diving teams were on display at the Navy Invitational Saturday afternoon alongside the Midshipmen, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Shippensburg in the individual event.

Sophomore Jessica Antonio took home a pair of runner-up finishes in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 272.10 and 271.40, respectively. Freshman Doug Vaca matches her efforts with second place finishes in the men's 1 and 3-meter dives, scoring 254.05 and 264.60 in the events.

Sophomore Sam Grossi earned a runner-up finish in the 100 yard backstroke in 51.91 while freshman Patrick Idank swam to a second-place finish in the 200 fly in 1:54.77.

Freshman Christine Gallagher timed in at 2:07.92 to earn a runner-up in the 200 backstroke.

The Blue Hens turn their attention to the CAA Championship, taking place Feb. 19-22 in Christiansburg, Virginia.
