Blue Hens Tied for First Place, Kedzlie Second at Invitation at Savannah Harbor

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Delaware is tied for the team lead while Hugo Kedzlie sits in second place as the Blue Hen men's golf team opened their 2020 spring season Saturday at the Invitation at Savannah Harbor.

Delaware carded rounds of 294 and 290 on the day, and is tied for the top spot along with Valparaiso with 584 scores. Francis Marion sits in third place at 587, while Wright State is fourth with a 589 total.

Kedzlie recorded a pair of two under par 70 rounds on the par 72, 6,918-yard course at The Club at Savannah Harbor. The freshman posted three birdies and just one bogey during both rounds of the day. He trails only Austin Schoonmaker of Wright State, who leads the field at five under par.

Jack Melville is tied for 27th place at the tournament with a five over par 74-75-149 while Matt Pulgini (78-72-150), Roberto Nieves (77-73-150) and Michal Bargenda (73-77-15) are each tied for 35th place at six over par.

The final round of the invitational begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
