Blue Hens Complete Day One at CAA Championship

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Delaware swimming and diving teams will have room to improve after the opening day of the Colonial Athletic Association Championship after day one Wednesday.

The Blue Hens' 800 free relay team of freshmen Natalie Dobrzykowski and Mira Selling, junior Audrey Duvall, and senior Ellie Jogani finished just off the podium in fourth place at 7:19.16.

The day started with 1-meter diving trials where freshman Emil Vasko just missed out on qualifying for the final round later in the day.

Delaware finds itself in last place on both the men's and women's side after the opening day with Thursday's competition set to begin at 10 a.m. with preliminaries and finals in the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, women's 3-meter diving and 200 free relay set for 6 p.m.
